Relief Society Purpose

Relief Society Purpose: The Relief Society is an auxiliary to the priesthood. All auxiliary organizations exist to help Church members grow in their testimonies of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the restored gospel. Through the work of the auxiliaries, members receive instruction, encouragement, and support as they strive to live according to gospel principles.

Spiritual Thought - Apr 18

“I suppose no one is as handsome or as beautiful as he or she wishes, or as brilliant in school or as witty in speech or as wealthy as we would like, but in a world of varied talents and fortunes that we can’t always command, I think that makes even more attractive the qualities we can command – such qualities as thoughtfulness, patience, a kind word, and true delight in the accomplishment of another.  These cost us nothing, and they can mean EVERYTHING to the one who receives them." -  Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

April Lesson Schedule Changes
The ward conference schedule changed after the two new wards were formed in our Stake at
the beginning of the year. Page Ward Conference is April 22. Our Relief Society lesson will be
taught by the Stake. The originally scheduled Lesson # 8 from the manual will be skipped – read
it on your own. The April 29 lesson will no longer be a 5th Sunday combined lesson; it will be a
lesson from the October 2011 conference, Elder Tad R. Callister, “The Book of Mormon- A Book
from God.” The May schedule in the front of your manuals is correct. As soon as we receive
the April conference talks to be used for Teaching for Our Times, we will announce them.

Spiritual Thought - Apr 10

“Jesus has chosen, even in a resurrected, otherwise perfected body, to retain for the benefit of His disciples the wounds in His hands and in His feet and in His side – signs, if you will, that painful things happen even to the pure and the perfect; signs, if you will, that pain in this world is not evidence that God doesn’t love you; signs, if you will, that problems pass and happiness can be ours.”  Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

Spiritual Thought - Apr 1

“Whoever you are and wherever you find yourself as you seek your way in life, I offer you “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).  Wherever else you think you may be going, I ask you to “come unto Him” as the imperative first step in getting there, in finding your individual happiness and strength and success.”  Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
