Relief Society Purpose

Relief Society Purpose: The Relief Society is an auxiliary to the priesthood. All auxiliary organizations exist to help Church members grow in their testimonies of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the restored gospel. Through the work of the auxiliaries, members receive instruction, encouragement, and support as they strive to live according to gospel principles.

Spiritual Thought - Mar 23

“Believe in yourself.  Believe in your capacity to do great and good things.  Believe that no mountain is so high that you cannot climb it.  Believe that no storm is so great that you cannot weather it.  You are not destined to be a scrub.  You are a child of God, of infinite capacity. Believe that you can do it – whatever it is that you set your heart on.  Opportunities will unfold and open before you.  The skies will clear when they have been dark with portent.”  President Gordon B. Hinckley

Coming soon! Meeting on March 27 at 7:00 p.m.

Visiting Teaching
Remember to visit your sisters.

The March Ensign has a wonderful article (page 28) called “visiting Teaching: Understanding the
Power of Ministering.” “Our Heavenly Father needs us to follow a higher path and demonstrate
our discipleship by sincerely caring for His children… We are trying to concentrate on caring
about our sisters rather than completing lists of things to do. True ministry is measured more
by the depth of our charity than by the perfection of our statistics.” (General Relief Society
Presidency)

Friday in the Park
Come to the park next to the McEuens at 11 a.m. on Fridays. We will be setting up service
projects to do while in the park from time to time. Whether you have children to bring or not,
there will be activities and fellowshipping. Invite your neighbors, too.

Spiritual Thought - Mar 15

“Become a woman of Christ.  Cherish your esteemed place in the sight of God.  He needs you.  This Church needs you.  The world needs you.  A woman’s abiding trust in God and unfailing devotion to things of the Spirit have always been an anchor when the winds and the waves of life were fiercest.”  -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

Spiritual Thought - Mar 11

“You need never feel inferior.  You need never feel that you were born without talents or without opportunities to give them expression.  Cultivate whatever talents you have, and they will grow and refine and become an expression of  your true self appreciated by others. " - President Gordon B. Hinckley
