Relief Society Purpose

Relief Society Purpose: The Relief Society is an auxiliary to the priesthood. All auxiliary organizations exist to help Church members grow in their testimonies of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the restored gospel. Through the work of the auxiliaries, members receive instruction, encouragement, and support as they strive to live according to gospel principles.

In our ward boundaries there is a home where five or six elderly ladies are being cared
for. We want to piece and tied quilts for them for Christmas. If you can donate material or
expertise, please see the sign-up sheet. In case you want to buy materials to donate, you
can find them on sale or use store coupons up to 50% off.

Surprise Book for President and Sister Barker
The time for submitting photos and messages or testimonies has been extended a few
days. If you want to do so you can still submit to barkerbook@gmail.com. If you don’t
remember the instructions and need a copy, call a member of the Ward Relief Society
presidency.

Visiting Teaching
Please report to your supervisors today, if you haven’t already. Supervisors please
complete your reports – Sister Taylor is going on vacation and needs to submit the report
before she goes.

Suggestion for the month: Show your sisters you care. Many people take vacations in July,
so call your sisters early this month to figure out your visiting schedule.
